HIGHSNOBIETY, recently reported that Shanghai was geeking for athletic footwear, during their fashion week, and sneaker heads will definitely be rejoicing.
For Shanghai's Fashion Week SS18 it was all about the sneakers. To Balenciaga's beige/green/yellow Triple S to Adidas x Rick Owens Mastodon Pros, Shanghai couldn't get enough. Editor Adam Katz Sinding took to the streets of Shanghai to see what was the up and coming future for sneakers, and while is noticed that there where a lot of bulky styles like Balenciaga's and FILA's Disrupter II, the streets were also stomping with classic styles such as Jordan's 1s, Adidas EQT 93, and Vans Old Skool Hi Top. Adam than said, "Add in a few more hyped models, like Nike's Air Vapor MAX and Virgil Abloh's version of the Nike Blazer, and you'll have a solid lineup."

I feel Adidas does it the best, they were the first to successfully to combine the tennis shoe with people who some people looked at for their high fashion views. They started with the Jeremy Scott wing shoes collaboration. I feel since the release of those sneakers other companies have taking to the idea like vultures.
