Tinted Shades Are Back - Phuong Le

Hued glasses are founded everywhere on the street of Paris during fashion week. They have left the eyes of Johny Depp from "Fear of Loathing in Las Vegas" and Christian Bale's from "American Hustle" and arrived both on the runway and the streets.  These retro frames give some serious throwback feel.

Hairstyles Trends (France)

We all know the French bob is super popular in the fashion industry. The bangs over the forehead, the short cut about chin length, it's always been a high fashion look. Lately I've been noticing the different short hairstyles that's been on runways and even magazines. The, "short-hair" look is becoming more gender-less and I love it.

ugg x jeremy scott (sierra Townsend)

week 5 blog

At first glance, the homegrown sensibilities of Ugg and the kitsch pop culture designs of Jeremy Scott might not seem like a match made in heaven, but think twice. Ugg have teamed up with Scott to create a capsule footwear collection which launches this September with prices ranging from £75 to £995. The item that's got us talking? The classic Uggs with bright orange flames.

French girls have a knack for breathing new life into wardrobe staples. And this time, they’re doing it with a piece that’s been buried in our closets for a while: corduroy pants. While this retro style has long been a fall basic, we haven’t seen it as much in the last few years. But make no mistake—it’s one of the biggest trends this fall.

Supreme x Akira' 2017 Fall Collection

Supreme x Akira' 2017 Fall Collection

Article from HypeBeast
BY Arby Li

Rumors of a Supreme x Akira collaboration had been circulating earlier this month when creator Katsuhiro Otomo conducted a televised interview at Tokyo’s GALLERY X BY PARCO, explaining that he had turned down the opportunity a number of times before but finally agreed to the co-branded project.

For those unfamiliar, Akira was a Japanese manga series created by Otomo which launched in 1982 and concluded in 1990, while the film was released in 1988. It garnered a cult following for its narrative of a post-World War III world where Tokyo was destroyed by a nuclear bombing and society is in disarray with anti-government terrorism, drug usage, corruption as well as gang violence. The two main characters, Kaneda and Tetsuo are best friends and members of the motorcycle gang called The Capsules. Tetsuo has an accident during a biking incident with a rival gang that awakens psychic powers within him, causing him to turn on Kaneda and ultimately drive him to insanity and destruction. Akira‘s stylized gore, visual treatment and gripping social commentary has since paved the way for a number of dystopian/post-apocalyptic films to follow.
Both sets of fans will be pleased to see a comprehensive lineup of collaborative items in this release. We are presented with numerous products that all feature original artwork from the manga series, which includes a Fishtail Parka, Work Jacket, Coveralls, Jacquard Long Sleeve Top, Soccer Top, two Hooded Sweatshirts, a Zip-Up Hooded Sweatshirt, four Short Sleeve T-Shirts, a Long Sleeve T-Shirt, a 5-Panel Hat, two Skateboard Decks, a plate and a tray.

The Supreme x Akira collection will be available at Supreme’s online store and physical locations in New York, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, London and Paris on November 2. Japan will see a November 4 release.
Make sure to also check out the accompanying video where Katsuhiro Otomo reveals how the iconic series came to life.
In other Supreme news, the New York skate brand dedicated a special box logo shirt to the late Gary Warnett.

Brenda Po- Week 4-Italy trends

From article- Spring 2017 Women's fashion trends in Florence

Gucci adds lots of embroidery so that its harder to copy the same exact look. Embroidery has made its way into trends for the people in Florence and has been seen in a near by shop that is less expensive. But instead of copying the designs directly, the bag has its own style but has an inspiration on using the embroidery.

France Trends:  Statement Earrings Like the 90's

Bold Earrings= Bold Statement

I've Always been a sucker for the 90's trend of big and bold earrings.  I love the abstractness and eccentricity that it adds to an outfit.  It can literally bring a plain outfit up a couple notches to being editorial.  I also love the shapes and objects we normally see in everyday life being used as the structure of the earring.  Gives an average outfit a pop of creativity and fun.  Here's a couple statement earrings that I love and some I actually have in my jewelry collection as well.

Saddle Up - France Trend! (Amiah Young)

It seems as though the Jockey look is in.  Tall strap hat with the cape/poncho coat. This is a very warm, stylish and plaid, step out look. French woman doesn't step out without being trendy.  Last year around this time i seen jockey hats getting sold in Marshall's. This trend must have been trickled up 🐴👒.
In Italy among Gen-Z, the color Yellow is trending. Gen-Z is moving away from Millennial Pink and going for a more honest and melancholy look.

Ugly Shoes, New Trend!!

“ I think it’s very interesting the definition of ugly. I think it’s also very interesting to find the line where ugly becomes beautiful or beautiful becomes ugly. That’s a challenge I like. I think that that’s a part of what fashion stands for and I like that people think my clothes are ugly; I think it’s a compliment.” - Denma Guasliva ( Balenciaga )

Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, And so many others have recreated the art of shoe making, turning avant-garde into chic by putting their own spin on what we called “ Ugly Shoes “.

Supermodels like Gigi Hadid, Artists like Rihanna have all sweeped the streets with this illuminating trend.

When it comes to the trickle up theory a lot of fashion has elevated to the elite fashion. The look of having holes in sweatpants and activewear in the USA has trickled up in the past couple of years. It became a big thing in the yeezy collection!
